Villa Mattina

At Villa Mattina, architecture breaks free from the rigidity of the straight line to explore the fluidity of curves, the softness of transitions and the continuity of planes. The volumes unfold like organic gestures, where each line extends the one before and each element takes part in a single composition, marked by a balance between expression and lightness.

The sinuous form gives the house a sculptural identity. The slabs seem to float, the planes extend into space and the glazing dissolves the boundary between inside and outside, letting light travel through the architecture and reveal different depths and atmospheres over the course of the day.

More than a composition of volumes, this house by SAME Architects is an exercise in movement and continuity. An architecture that finds its language in the curve, its expression in material and its essence in its relationship with the surroundings.
