Villa Osiris

The landscape of Belas Clube de Campo invites architecture to share in its beauty and take hold of it, bringing its presence into the home. The steep slope of the site calls for a distinctive volume: Villa Osiris first sets itself into the ground and then breaks free towards the Sintra landscape.

The slope holds the solution within itself. Like the god Osiris, who gives the house its name, one must first descend into the underworld before reaching resurrection. This is what shapes the entrance route: a flight of stairs leads to the lower floor, and only then is resurrection found, in the contemplation of the landscape that unfolds.

The landscape is thus revealed at once as a whole and becomes part of the house.

The form stands out and rises into the sky, a striking architecture that merges with its surroundings.
